Molochite 30-80 Ceramic Shell Casting
Molochite 30-80 is calcined clay used in the production of ceramic shells for hot metal casting. This size grade usually follows the 50-80 coat (which is sometimes missed out) for 1 coat. after dipping again in the primary slurry made with Primecote Binder Wexcoat Binder and -200 Molochite. Calcined clays are produced by holding the material at 15000C makes it very temperature stable. It also is safer to use than silica based refractories.
