External thread restoring files are designed to renew rusted or damaged external threads of any diameter bolt or pipe with one tool. They can be used on right or left hand threads or even be used as a thread gauge. Files are precision cut and will not skip or jump out of fine pitches. The restorer file overlaps several good threads and files the damaged ones to return your bolt or pipe to its original thread.
